Quotes That Fascinated Me

It was in the 1940s that the Germans were cake walking the American troops with their new ammunition. The American troops were reducing day by day.So they were looking to recruit more soldiers for the war against the Germans.

One of those candidates was a young man named Steve Rogers. He was a patriotic man. He was tall — 6.2, to be precise. But the issue was his weight of only 95 pounds.

He is severely underweight for a soldier. He was weak; he had asthma. He got rejected multiple times, yet he always shows up in the recruitment office again and again.

One of the doctors from the recruitment team asked him, ”Why do you always keep showing up here? There are more things to cherish, young man.” He answered, “There are men laying down their lives, and I have no right to do any less than them.”

The recruiting doctor asked, “Do you want to kill Nazis?” Steve replied, “I don’t want to kill anyone; I don’t like bullies; I don’t care where they’re from.”

Even though Steve was a patriotic man, he wasn’t a jingoist. He always wanted to do what was right. That was his morality.

After seeing his determination to do what is right, he was selected for the army. In the army, training sessions were conducted. He struggled to complete his training sessions, as he was completely unfit for the army.

There was a specific serum for which the American army developed “Super Soldier Serum.” Only one soldier from the army can be injected with the serum. Steve was never the best soldier. With the doctor’s persistence to inject it on him, the generals agreed. Steve asked the doctor, “Why him?”

“A strong man who has known power all his life may lose respect for that power. But a weak man knows the value of strength.”

Said the doctor. Steve realized it, and he was ready to toil hard for his country
