Ballon’s Tale
I was flying in the air. Suddenly, I heard a huge scream from underneath. It was a kid; ironically, he was the same kid who bought me from the shop. I was scared of leaving him. From the moment I was brought into existence, I was always with him.
He took me to new places; it was tough leaving him. I was floating in the air, moving in a zig-zag manner as the wind came from all directions. It lasted for around 2 hours but felt like an eternity. I survived that and was flying, thinking about what would happen next and worried about potential harm.
I flew straight for several hours. The sunset as I flew, getting closer to the clouds. I always wondered how clouds could never fall from the sky; maybe God gave them an invisible floating mat. Near the clouds, I looked down at large buildings, appearing like miniature lights, dots of different colors. I was amused.
At that moment, I realized more than ever how the boy carried me to different places. Sometimes, I had mixed feelings about where he was carrying me, but sometimes, he also took me to jaw-dropping places. I didn't have a clue where he was carrying me, so it didn't make sense to worry about where I was going. I told myself, "Troposphere, Stratosphere, Mesosphere, Thermosphere, and exosphere, I'm coming for you. The path is not always smooth, but I can overcome the bumps."
As Robert Frost said, "Miles to Go Before Sleep."
